EVENTS

We organise, or participate in, a number of community events throughout the year. Working as a team is always enjoyable and often forges lifetime friendships. Many of our members get their children, friends and other family members to help out.

John Hughes Big Walk
Sunday 13 November 2016

The John Hughes Big Walk was started by our Club in 1996. Since then it has raised over $1.5 million for various charities. SInce 2007 the principal beneficiary of the Walk has been the Princess Margaret Hospital for Children. The event attracts over 3000 participants who can choose to walk either 6, 11 or 15 km around the river from Burswood Park. There are lots of food, drinks and entertainment for the whole family plus a lucky draw to win a car donated by John Hughes, our principal sponsor, making this a great fun morning. If you would like to volunteer to help out please contact us.
